One for the walls

Just got back in from picking up one of my pieces from being framed. Been wanting to get this done for a minute now so it's finally done. I think I'm gonna do a Master Killer trilogy on the wall consisting of 3 Gordon Liu Chia-Hui 1-sheets.

Dude! I used to have this US poster! Now I got the Chinese one. This American poster was one of the few I liked since it used the HK artwork. The HK posters are/were smaller, which made them easier to find frames.

The art on that poster is great. I've got the HK version as well but for the size of my walls the US sheets work better. I originally started collecting the US because thats what I grew up seeing so for nostalgic purposes thats what I stuck to then I started buying the HK posters so now I have doubles of most of the SB posters. I really wish the US had better art so I have to pick and choose which to frame. I've a few british quads and spanish ones as well and the art is also incredible.

I got a bunch of Thai Shaw posters, too, Skeme and some of those have better artwork than the HK counterparts.

I also have this crazy obsession with collecting identical posters with the various names. ie. Sacred knives of vengence poster is the same as The Killer. Same movie, same art but one with the american name and the other with original. This collecting thing is makes you a mad man.

I don't the HK poster for that one, but I do have both the US lobby set and the complete Warner Brothers Press Kit for the film. It's loaded with stills and other ballyhoo.

I hear ya' bout the collecting thing. I got a lot of stuff I forgot I even had stored in boxes. At least I got a house big enough for it all (for the time being, hehehehe)
