Talk To The People

Back in the Brewerytown section of the city next Tuesday night for my monthly 'Talk To The People" at Sarah's Place.  Playing an assortment of Jazz-funk, Rare Groove and classic Disco for an intimate crowd of friends, lovers, locals and residents of the city. $2.50 shots and $3 Sailor Jerry mixed drinks as well as an assortment of beers for your drinking pleasure.

I've started a new monthly (last Tuesday of the month) get together called Talk To The People at Sarah's Place in the Brewerytown section of Philly spinning Jazz-funk, Rare Groove and Disco classics.  I've been heavily inspired by my visits to Japan and spending time in record bars and small bars where an intimate group of people drink, snack and socialize while the DJ plays incredible music. I always feel like there's something lacking in the "social" department that has been replaced by getting turned up or going out just to be seen.

Looking forward to people hanging out with old friends while meeting new ones at Sarah's Place where the beer is cold, drinks are cheap, the music is top shelf and the atmosphere is warm.

Tonight I'll be joining Steve Ferrell on the decks and spinning an assortment funk, soul, jazz and rare groove at Sarah's Place in Brewerytown.

Miles Tackett - The Fool Who Wonders Philly

This Sunday night, LA's Miles Tackett (Breakestra / Root Down / Funky Sole) will be continuing his tour and making a stop in Philly to perform his latest project and album, The Fool Who Wonders.  I have the pleasure of opening the night with a 45 set before Miles takes the stage.

The show happens at Sarah's Place in Brewerytown at 9pm and is a FREE show courtesy of and sponsored by Brewerytown Beats!

My month long residency for 'Talk To The People' at Sarah's Place in Brewerytown continues this Sunday.  As with the previous 2 weeks, the night is dedicated to Jazz-funk, Rare Groove and classic Disco vinyl selections.  

Talk To The People

This past Sunday I began my month long residency for a new party that I'm doing called 'Talk To The People'.  It's an all vinyl night of Jazz-funk, Rare Groove and Disco classics happening at Sarah's Place in Brewerytown.  Looking forward to bringing something a bit different to the city, musically speaking.
