The City of Rotterdam

Had a great time this past weekend in Rotterdam, the food, the people and atmosphere was a very pleasurable experience. I'm definitely looking forward to making a return trip there soon, minus the rain.

Return of The Barbarian

When it comes to new films and remakes of old films being released quality is at a minimum, but when it comes to films being made for the adult market and not the typical summer blockbuster all ages super hero business its even less. So when I saw the trailer for the new Conan The Barbarian movie how raw and gory its was plus a rating of Rated R I was even more pleased, but seeing the movie poster with sheer violence and blood splattering brought a smile to my face.

Imagery Is Everything

Two flicks that I'm actually excited to see in the theaters when they drop, The Dark Knight Rises and The Thing. Even though The Thing was already done by John Carpenter and I don't usually approve of remakes / re-tellings (ie. Planet of Apes etc.) they did a great job on the movie poster which has a classic look so hopefully the film will be just as good.

Exclusive!!

If it's one San Diego Comic Con Exclusive that I need to walk away with this year it's this!

As you should know by now, Return of the Jedi was originally going to be titled Revenge of the Jedi. Lucas decided that Jedis are too enlightened to take revenge and he changed the name accordingly (apparently, taking revenge is bad, but sitting around all day discussing bullshit and/or making friends with Chewbacca for no goddamned good reason is perfectly fine). Anyways, what this means to SDCC attendees is that they will be able to buy 14 of Hasbro's vintage Star Wars figures -- including the otherwise uncarded Salacious Crumb and Mouse Droid -- in special Revenge of the Jedi blister cards. These all come in a massive cardboard Death Star that, if you don't want it utterly destroyed, you should probably have professionally shipped to your home.

It's me and the Biz

As Jay-Z said, first of all I'd like to thank my connect! For hooking me up with this limited edition Biz Markie Pro-Ked 69ers. Nuff said.

In an "Instant"

I'm sure you've heard of the term in an instant right?! Well that's exactly how my homie Mr. Beon gets down when he's snapping photos for me. This past weekend at our Brooklyn BBQ he pulled out what might be an unusual object to some but not to those who hold the title photographer, his Instax camera. In common terms it's known as a Polaroid, yes he shoots digital as well and has the Canon and the Nikon cameras like everyone else but he also still shoots film (dictionary term: He's a Photographer). Here's a few snaps from the party.

Second Sundays! BBQ Kick off

Had a great time yesterday in Brooklyn for the kick off of Second Sundays and it was a perfect day of 45's on the decks, beverages, bbq and great people. I couldn't have asked for a better turnout of people, especially since I was already packed indoors and out. Shouts to everyone that came out, see you next moth!
