The Sounds of Adrian Younge

I'm pretty much over the whole digging videos that showcase the same records over and over or records that I completely don't care about, but I have to give the nod of approval to this new episode with the homie Adrian Younge (of Venice Dawn, Black Dynamite Sound Orchestra) Soul Temple Records etc. He definitely came through with interesting stories about what he looks for and likes when searching for records.  I had the pleasure of working with Adrian on several occasions during the Black Dynamite  times when Hot Peas & Butta collaborated with BD and Wax Poetics for a series of parties.  It's great to see a true music and film lover bring something new to the series instead of just the typical vinyl nerdism.  Definitely have to give a shout to Cut Chemist, Nu-Mark and Rhettmatic for theirs as well.

Peddle Pushing Amsterdam

Been a very productive trip so far during this European tour but I needed to defrag for a minute and get away from this computer and experience some nature.  So I decided to rent a bike and peddle my way around Amsterdam to take in some fresh air, sights and surroundings on this perfect weather day.

Boardroom Magic

During my six week tour throughout Europe I have a decent amount of down time where I can be creative, handle gathering content for Hot Peas & Butta, book future gigs and relax.  I spend a decent amount of time hanging out at the 45 Live offices in Rotterdam where there always seems to be creativity flowing.  So great to be around this bunch as it inspires me to stay on my mission, this is the type of atmosphere that I need at home, people that are hungry, business minded and making moves.  I'm still an old fashion believer that in business, the magic happens in the boardroom after long hours of discussion.

Chelles Battle Pro

Had a great time this past weekend in France for Chelles Battle Pro.  Very surprised to see how organized and smooth the event ran without any technical difficulties which usually happens at events this size.  Definitely an honor to be apart of this years event and hopefully I'll be returning next year as well.

Puerto Rock Steady
