Weekly Goodness Roundup

This last past weekend was hectic, stressful and fun all at the same but that story will come later. There's been a few cool things that have popped up worthy of talking about and even displaying on your shelf, here's this weeks cool shit.

I could care less about any DJ or Rapper that has a liquor sponsor and/or signature bottle that's not even worth the price of admission or will ever go up in value or is only marketed to a select demographic (ie. pick your brands better). But Hennessy has teamed up with artist KAWS for this limited edition collaboration of V.S. Cognac. If you know KAWS then you know his stock in the collectors world and his highly desirable pieces that will keep you on the hunt for a long time. Even those that don't drink will try to cop a bottle of this Cognac.

In celebration of its 15th anniversary, Medicom Toy has designed this special edition Mickey Mouse figurine. Based off the classic 1937 episode entitled “As The Worm Turns”, the toy depicts a a gloved Mickey wearing a lab coat and mixing up a very special concoction. Priced at ¥7,140 JPY (approximately $90 USD), the toy will be available for purchase at the Medicom Toy 15th Anniversary Exhibition in Tokyo from July 30 through August 22.

Supa Genius status right here, this is what I feel like when in the lab creating.

It's been a minute since I did a really good "Coffee Table Status" on a hardback book but it looks like new book publisher Rizzoli has something new in the works, Gucci: The Making of Book by author Maria Luisa Frisa. The book is an unprecedented publication showcasing Gucci as never before, including thought-provoking essays, commentaries, and authoritative anecdotes along with previously unpublished contemporary and archival photographs.
