Taste of Suriname

One of the best things about traveling to other countries is enjoying food that you might not necessarily find at home.  One place that's always must eat at when I visit Holland is Rotterdam which has a very diverse group of people living in the city and of course with that diversity comes great food.  It is in this very city that you can find some of the best Suriname food that's always on point.

Burger Heaven

As always, I'm still on my burger quest and searching for the best in every city, state and country that I visit.  One of the best in 2014 was one that was recommended by fellow DJs in Fukuoka Japan who knew about my mission.  So the following day after my gig and before catching my flight back to Tokyo they took me to Hungry Heaven which is a small shop that specializes in what else, burgers of course.  Everything about the burger was proper from the bun to the bacon, the beef down to the tomatoes.  The quality of the beef was just what I would expect from such a place that uses fresh and quality ingredients.  Top it off with a side of fries and of course a vanilla shake and we're in business.

Last week I had the pleasure of spinning a vinyl set on my brother Rob Manga's 'House Clash' radio show which airs on Red Light Radio in Amsterdam.  Perfect listening while your sitting at your cubical for work, fixing dinner or relaxing while taking in a good book.

Good Morning Amsterdam

It's always great to wake up in my second city, Amsterdam and witness the views.  But in this case, the morning fog was as thick as pea soup but still a beautiful site to see.

VICE: Nigel Sylvester

Woke up this morning and saw a video from VICE on BMX rider Nigel Sylvester.  The first words out of his mouth was "I'm one of the most hated dudes in the game right now".  Powerful words coming from one of the most successful guys in the game who does things his way and built his brand they way he chose to.  Props!

Hot Peas & Butta x WahWah in Osaka Recap

Had great time last month during my Japan tour with one of the stops being the Hot Peas & Butta meets WahWah party in Osaka.  Always an honor to share the decks with a great lineup of DJs for a packed house of people that love to dance.

Little Big Things 3 Year Anniversary Recap

Big ups to my brothers Case Bloom, Froz1 and Personify on the 3 year anniversary of their Little Big Things party at the Trestle Inn.  Each month these 3 guys go all in for the crowd spinning Funk, Soul, Disco and Latin 45 at what I would say is my favorite party to attend when I'm home and not traveling.  Shouts to the homie Shotsfired215 for being on the scene with the camera to capture this amazing night.

Little Big Things 3yr Anniversary

This Friday night I have the pleasure of DJ'ing alongside Case Bloom, Personify and Froz1 at their Little Big Things 3 year anniversary party at The Trestle Inn In Philly.  LBT's is one of the few must attend parties in the city, especially if you're looking for more than the norm.  It's a great whisky bar, they've got go-go dancers and of course the musical selections are always on point then the these gents set up shop and spin Funk, Soul, Disco and Boogie gems on strictly 45rpm.
