Shake The Dust Philadelphia Premier Screening
Tonight I'll be attending the screening of 'Shake The Dust', a documentary executive produced by Nasir 'Nas' Jones. The incredible film takes the viewer around the globe to Yemen, Uganda, Columbia and Cambodia exploring the interconnectedness of Hip Hop culture. In addition to the screening, I'll be providing the soundtrack on the 1's and 2's along with David Adams before and after with a few performances and a guest appearance by Philly / Graff legend and godfather, Cornbread.

Doin' it In The Park (Taipei Style)
While in Taipei earlier this month, I had the pleasure of taking it back to the essence of Hip Hop culture and DJ'ing in the park for Beat Square 4yr Anniversary. Beat Square is a monthly event that was started by the first Hip Hop DJ in Taipei, DJ Chicano who wanted to bring a classic Hip Hop feel to the people by throwing a park jam. Each month DJs, dancers, artists, BMX'ers, skaters and everyday people attend Beat Square to enjoy and feel the positive vibes and hear good music. It's been a minute since I've experienced something like this and it really took me back to when everything was simple and enjoyable with no stress.

Insert Coins
My favorite place to hang out when in Las Vegas is without a doubt, Insert Coins. Everything about the place from the DJ's and sound system to the arcade games is right up my alley. It's great to see fellow lover of gaming culture and Kung Fu flicks, Chris LaPorte pushing forward with the movement of gaming and going against the grain of typical night clubs.

Funk Club 045 at IBE
This past weekend at IBE in Heerlen, The Netherlands, my brother Rob Manga and I had the honor of curating one of the tents for the weekends festivities. Along with festival's organizers we came up with Funk Club 045 and we then placed in charge of handpicking the lineup of vinyl DJ specialists. Everything from Afrobeat to Soul, Jazz to Hip Hop, Boogie to Funk and everything in between was played for a packed crowd while the sun was shining and a few diehards that decided to dance the day away while others took to the insides waiting for the storm to pass. On behalf of the IBE festival organizers, Rob Manga and myself, we'd like to thank all of the DJ's that rocked with us as well as all of the attendees at the festival.
