While in Montreal Canada a few weeks back I had a chance to eat at a burger spot which comes highly recommended by many. Hintonburger which is located in the Hinton section of Montreal which is a hip area filled with shops or all sorts, including records. After a few hours of digging and before my flight back home we headed to grab a tasty one which definitely met expectations. The beef is all local and comes from a farm only a few miles away which is the same one that they've been getting it from day one. The beef was tasty and properly seasoned with no need for any type of condiment which is exactly the way I like it. Add a side of fries and we're in business.

Redbull Canvas Cooler Philly
Had a chance to swing by the Redbull Canvas Cooler event in Philly the other night to check out some great pieces of art. Some of my favorite artists from the city who all had pieces in the contest in hopes of winning and representing in Miami where present. Shouts to Kid Hazo and JRuggs both artists that I follow heavily and always impress me with their creations.

Night of The Philly Dead: Brews & Brains
Super excited to be involved with DJ'ing the upcoming Night of The Philly Dead: Brews & Brains Halloween party at the International House Philadelphia.
Brew Crew Events and IHP are teaming up to bring the first Halloween craft beer and cocktail party to the Philadelphia region. Join us for a zombie themed dance party paying homage to the cult classic movies, while taking Night of The Living Dead series in an all new, frightening direction with scary good catering by TV Chef Barbara Marshall.
Costumes are encouraged (yes there will be a competition) but if you don't want to go all out, there makeup artist NickieRenee will be on hand to zombify you by appointment.

The 17hr Layover - Atlanta Edition
This past weekend my life felt like an episode of Anthony Bourdain's Layover series but instead of a 24 hours. I only had a 17 hour grace period to do what I needed to and eat what was necessary to keep my stomach filled. After arriving in beautiful Atlanta at 2pm, the homie DJ Alphatrion scooped me up before our gig at Deuces Wild and we headed over to D' Cuban to try one of their delicious Cuban sandwiches.
From there we headed over to our afternoon / evening gig which finished up around midnight and during that time everyone seemed to head out to the after party at I Love Pho. No, that's not the name of a club, it's a Pho restaurant which we sat at until around 3am. After a trip to Alpha's home to discuss his filmmaking skills, movie collection and his movie poster collection I took a quick nap on the couch and back to the airport at 5am for my 7am flight back to the 215. Quick trips without luggage and only records in hand don't happen often, but I guess it all comes with the job.

Manifesto Festival, Toronto.
Seems like my stock in Canada has been on the rise over the last few years as I've gotten booked more in 2 than the previous 5. Hopefully that trend will continue and I'll get to head out there more often. With that said, next week I'll be making a return trip to DJ at Manifesto Festival in Toronto.

Insert Coins
My favorite place to hang out when in Las Vegas is without a doubt, Insert Coins. Everything about the place from the DJ's and sound system to the arcade games is right up my alley. It's great to see fellow lover of gaming culture and Kung Fu flicks, Chris LaPorte pushing forward with the movement of gaming and going against the grain of typical night clubs.

The Vinyl Exam
This past Monday I was featured on the latest episode of The Vinyl Exam podcast. Each week the series finds itself featuring a collector of vinyl, sometimes on 45, other times in LP form while the interviewer and guest discuss some of their favorite pieces. This week I spoke about 5 7" gems from my collection and heavy on the soul genre at that.

The Sights of Belem Brazil
Had an amazing time in Belem Brazil this past weekend not only DJ'ing for the Red Bull BC One Latin America Finals but also enjoying the sights of the country. It was definitely a great experience from visiting the local areas as well as venturing into the Amazon for the actual event. Here's a few pics from the city.
